Introduction
Digital Switchover is the single biggest consumer event of the year – and it starts in Wales next month. Consumer Focus Wales wants to ensure consumers have the correct information, so they can enjoy the benefits of greater choice of channels and better quality picture.
As part of our year long campaign to ensure a safe switch to digital Consumer Focus Wales has undertaken a survey to see whether aerial installers are giving consumers the right advice about digital switchover.
Consumer Focus Wales phoned 198 installers in Wales during the week of 22-26 June. We received 114 responses. We asked six questions, which were originally drawn up by Digital UK and Trading Standards Officers in Dorset. We have used the same questions, to allow for comparison between different areas but adapted the background scenario for Wales.
